Industrial Water Efficiency: Blue Water Efficiency Certificate and System Implementation

The Industrial Water Efficiency System Establishment and Blue Water Efficiency Certificate Application Guide, prepared by the General Directorate of Water Management under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, defines the principles and procedures for establishing water efficiency systems and managing certification processes for industrial facilities and organized industrial zones.

The certification framework established under the Water Efficiency Regulation consists of three certification levels: Blue, Green, and Turquoise Water Efficiency Certificates. Organizations that fall within the scope of the regulation are required to establish water efficiency systems and complete the relevant certification processes in accordance with the specified requirements and timelines.

The published guides outline the key steps for establishing a water efficiency system, including the formation of a water efficiency team, assessment of the current situation, setting water efficiency objectives, planning activities, conducting training programs, promoting the use of water-efficient equipment, and implementing awareness and communication activities.
